During your normal day to day life try to carve out about a week of self care!
Here are some activities you can do.
Here are some activities you can do.
- Write down what you are feeling in a journal and reference it every week and track your emotions.
- Workout if you are up for it. However, be careful about not doing too much, just a small workout to help you work up a small sweat is plenty!
- Make yourself a yummy snack, it can be healthy, like carrots and ranch dip, or could be not as healthy like edible cookie dough. Don't feel guilty if you eat something not as healthy, just listen to what your body says.
- Do something creative. You can paint a small picture, make a little craft, color an image, or play with chalk.
- Call a friend. Check up on them, make them laugh, or talk to them about how you feel, they will definitely try and help you.
- Spiff up your room a bit. If you're up for it you could even do a deep clean of your room. Just don't let it stress you out, take it step by step.
- Write down a list of things you are grateful for. Really get thinking about things and people you love and are grateful to have.
- Get some sun. If it is warm enough or sunny outside, sit outside and get some fresh air and get some good old Vitamin D.
Relaxing things to ease stress
- Have a lazy day. Clear your schedule, sleep in and do nothing, it doesn't matter, we all need lazy days.
- Do some yoga. Especially if you are an athlete, it helps loosen everything up and keeps you grounded.
- Self love! Don't focus about what you don't like, focus on what makes you unique and special from others. Many girls have a hard time with this, but loving yourself before others is key.
- Curl up in a blanket, especially on a rainy day, or cold day, it is a really good feeling to relax in your bed or on the couch.
- Take a relaxing bath or shower. Nothing feels better than a nice warm bath or shower, shave your legs, wash and condition your hair, wash your body, your face, etc. Or light some candles and sit in a calming bath.
- Do a face mask! You could buy one, buy a pack or even make your own.
- Try to take a phone detox. Just for a little while.
- Drink some water, you could get fancy and add lemon, ginger, cucumber, etc.
